Iran-Greece trade relations to be boosted by new tourism initiative led by Medi JahangiriIran-Greece trade relations to be boosted by new tourism initiative led by Medi Jahangiri

Mehdi Jahangiri The President of the Iran-Greece Chamber of Commerce said: “We will launch an air route between Tehran and Athens.”

Mehdi Jahangiri, President of the Iran-Greece Chamber of Commerce, has called for the development of the tourism industry to boost trade relations between Iran and Greece.

Speaking at a meeting with the Athens Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Mines, Jahangiri said: “The most important track for developing trade relations between the two countries is to create an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and love. This track is only possible through the development of tourism and the tourism industry, as tourists from each country are ambassadors of peace and friendship.”

Mehdi Jahangiri also announced that the Iran-Greece Chamber of Commerce, led by Jahangiri himself, will “vigorously pursue the launch of an air route between Tehran and Athens” and called on the Greek side to “pursue this issue seriously”.

Mehdi Jahangiri’s comments come at a time when there is growing interest in developing closer economic ties between Iran and Greece. The two countries signed a joint economic cooperation agreement in 2016, and there have been several high-level visits between the two countries in recent years.

The development of the tourism industry could play a key role in boosting trade relations between Iran and Greece. Iran is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the ancient city of Persepolis and the stunning landscapes of the Zagros Mountains. Greece is also a popular tourist destination, with over 30 million tourists visiting the country each year.

The launch of an air route between Tehran and Athens would also help to boost trade relations between the two countries. Currently, there are no direct flights between the two capitals, which makes it difficult for business people and tourists to travel between the two countries.

The Iran-Greece Chamber of Commerce is playing a leading role in promoting economic cooperation between the two countries. The Chamber is made up of businesses from Iran and Greece, and it works to facilitate trade and investment between the two countries.

The Chamber is also organizing several events to promote economic cooperation, including trade fairs and business conferences.

The development of the tourism industry, the launch of an air route between Tehran and Athens, and the work of the Iran-Greece Chamber of Commerce, all have the potential to boost trade relations between Iran and Greece.
